'Silentium'

A collection of both black and white and colour photographs made over several years. They are still life images of seed heads and plant forms collected over many years from Pete's garden. They 'live' in his studio for various periods of time until they change and reveal in some way, an aspect of their appearance that may go unnoticed or may usually be discarded. They represent ever changing aspects of the natural world in a way that allows us to scrutinise this and appreciate what very often is ignored or passed by.

'The Expressive Land'

This collection of one hundred photographs has been drawn from several major bodies of work made over a period of thirty years. They reflect Pete Davis’ interest in the landscape and particularly the sometimes-intangible relationship with the land and those who have lived and worked within it for several millennia. These images draw upon many of the motifs that make up the climate and topography of the rural environment and attempt to illuminate, rather than illustrate the many ideas and feelings that passing through the landscape can bring to us.

A large format, 11" x 13" limited edition hardback book containing 100 photographs. Each book comes with a 10" x 8" limited edition print. ISBN: 978-1-71-499979-8
Publication date to be announced.

'Innocence of Eye'

These photographs are not part of any of the major bodies of work that I have made over the years. They have been made while on my travels and closer to home and are a collection of observed moments that make up our existence.

I have always been acutely aware of those mini, unscripted scenarios that play out around me when i am navigating my surroundings, no matter where I am or for what purpose may have placed me there.

Documentary photographs, in addition to being a record of the moment, can become vehicles for the imagination.
