Sardinia

Sardinia
My experiences in photographing in many regions of the UK and Ireland, had prepared me to understand how the landscape of a particular country and region can reflect many aspects of the lives of the indigenous population. While the topography and climate of Sardinia is very different from that of Wales, I recognised similarities in how rural populations exist within their own particular environments and utilise the resources available that are particular to a region. The small, subsistence farmers have to eke out their livings by understanding all this through generations and this, in turn, shapes the landscape itself.
